Kråkfors Forest Products AB
Sawing Decision Maker is owned by the company Kråkfors Forest Products AB; which was founded in October of 2018 by Mats Nylinder and Johan Annerstedt. The company’s main business is the development, marketing and sales of Sawing Decision Maker. Kråkfors also offers consulting and education with focus on the sawmill industry, in the fields of wood technology, business development and software.

Johan Annerstedt
M.Sc Electrical Engineering, Software Developer
Johan has extensive experience in software development and has contributed to numerous projects across a wide range of technologies, including automation software, embedded software, desktop applications and mobile apps. He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Uppsala University and also studied at ETH Zürich in Switzerland as an exchange student.
Since starting his career in 2011, Johan has worked with software development across several industries. His growing interest in the forest industry led him to specialize in software solutions for this sector, where he now works full-time helping companies improve efficiency and decision-making through technology.
Mats Nylinder
Mats brings decades of experience in forestry and wood technology. His academic background includes studies in Statistics at Stockholm University, Forest engineering at the University of New Brunswick in Canada, a Master’s degree in forestry at the Swedish University of Agriculture. He holds a PhD in the measuring and evaluation of sawmill chips and later became a Professor of Wood Technology in the field of measuring and evaluation of round wood.
Throughout his career, Mats has combined research, teaching, and industry collaboration to improve the utilization of forest raw materials in the sawmill, pulp and bioenergy industries.
He is also the lead author of several well-known books, including Birch Timber, Valuable Hardwoods, Timber and Pulpwood and is currently working on a book about the history of the Sawmill industry.
Mats is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry and has also worked with SÅBI, the association representing privately owned sawmills in southern Sweden.
His extensive knowledge of the forest industry, combined with a lifelong commitment to research and innovation forms an important part of our expertise and product development
